Picturesque lodge a bit away from the Columbia River. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was very friendly. There were activities and board games/toys to keep people entertained. The common areas are nice, especially the patio overlooking the river. Service was hit and miss. Decent service on the patio and in the bar. The dinning room didn't have good service at all though. The food was better than average but a bit pricey. I would go back for another spring/summer/fall getaway.
Beautiful Lodge. Great views of the Columbia River Gorge. Spacious room, upscale but comfortable. Courteous and helpful staff. The food was excellent. Highlight of our stay was the aerial course. The course was challenging, but so much fun. We had a terrific guide, who led us through set-up of the gear, safety measures and practicing the ground course. We were with a group and found the course to be really well thought out, as to not cause anyone to wait. Highly recommend!!
Enjoyed a recent stay at Skamania. Beautiful lodge, Comfortable bed, clean room, good food, attentive staff. Only hiccup was an issue with the hot water. Kudos to the housekeeping staff - upon returning home, I realized that I had left my favorite pillow there so I emailed the lodge. Cathleen, the Housekeeping Supervisor quickly responded, and sent my pillow to me the next day! Wonderful customer service! We will return.
The lodge was amazing, tranquil and the staff was perfect. Our room was gross it smelled like wet dog and cat pee. Went to grab a lens off my camera and pulled out a used condom instead. Don't get me wrong I will go back I will just check my room better and ask for a dog and condom free room.
I went here because a local friend says it's a good place to go for an easy walk. I was passing through and on my own so I checked it out. They have several different Trails you can loop around the property, one of them is the Lake Trail and they have a binocular set up. When I walked by it was trained on a heron grooming itself. While not all the trail is pretty, there are a couple really sweet spots and you can sit in the woods and just soak it up. They've also got zipline and a new canopy walk. It's pretty expensive, it cost around $80 if I recall right, but I might just go check that out!
